During this launch period, players engaged in 172 million matches, while streaming platforms reported 15 million hours of gameplay viewed.

"We appreciate the players’ participation in making the launch of Battlefield 6 a monumental success. There is still much to look forward to in the coming weeks," he added.

Initial report from October 15, 2025: In just five days, Battlefield 6 surpassed seven million sales across various platforms, as detailed by GamesIndustry.biz.

Alinea Analytics predicts that the title has thus far secured $350 million in sales revenue, outperforming other premium games released this year, except for EA Sports FC 26.

Reported figures indicate that during its opening period, FC 26 reached 7.7 million units, Monster Hunter Wilds sold 6.2 million, and Borderlands 4 reached 2.3 million in sales.

Split Fiction recorded sales of 1.3 million copies, while Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 reached 1.2 million units.

Over half of the units of Battlefield 6 were sold on Steam, with more than 3.5 million copies sold, contributing over $220 million in revenue.

PlayStation accounted for 23.7% of sales, with more than 1.5 million copies sold—86% of which were digital purchases on PlayStation 5. The Xbox share was 19.6%, translating to over 1.2 million copies.

Breaking down the player base, the majority, approximately 3.8 million, play on Steam, followed by 1.8 million on PlayStation, and 1.4 million on Xbox.

According to Video Game Insights furnished to GI.biz, there is substantial crossover between Battlefield 6 and other games of similar genre.

Call of Duty shares the highest crossover rate at 87.7%, followed by Fortnite and Grand Theft Auto 5: Legacy Edition at 85.1% and 80.5%, respectively.

In terms of regional player distribution on Steam, the United States leads with a third of sales, followed by China with 15%, and Japan at 3%.

The release of Battlefield 6 on October 10 marked it as the most significant title launch for the franchise on Steam, achieving over 700,000 concurrent players at its peak.

This milestone followed the successful Battlefield 6 Open Beta, which was previously the most popular entry in the series on that platform.
