The Russian co-op RPG Gedonia 2 was purchased 25,000 times in five months while in early access

The game's author, Oleg Kazakov, mentioned this number during an interview with IXBT Games at the "CONF 2025" festival.

Gedonia 2 sales reached 25 thousand copies

Kazakov recalls that the first Gedonia did not sell as well initially. Indeed, his earlier reports indicate that during the first seven months of early access, Gedonia sales amounted to 15 thousand copies. However, after the full release, interest in the game significantly increased — in just the first three weeks after launch, it was purchased by over 34 thousand people.

As of today, Gedonia has sold 150 thousand copies. Kazakov noted that the largest sales were in the USA (35%), the UK (30%), and Russia (30%). He did not provide a breakdown of sales for Gedonia 2 by country.

The developer also shared that the budget for Gedonia 2 "vastly" exceeded that of the first part, but he did not disclose the exact figures.

Currently, Kazakov cannot specify when Gedonia 2 will leave early access, but he suggests that its release is two to three years away. Afterward, he plans to work on a new game—not within the Gedonia series. According to him, it will be a small, story-driven project with a duration of six hours.
