Quality assurance company Testronic has secured a "significant" new investment while reorganizing its global operations

Testronic, a company specializing in quality assurance, has announced the acquisition of substantial new funding aimed at boosting its expansion and securing its global operations. Part of this strategy includes enhancing its executive team.
Although details about the investment from TDC, a partner of global investment powerhouse KKR, remain limited, Testronic revealed that it has closed offices in Madrid and Belgrade and retired the Catalis Group brand.
The exact number of employees affected by these office closures was not specified, but a representative informed Game Developer that layoffs represented 4.8% of Testronic's workforce worldwide.
The company has also reported a doubling of its testing staff in Manila and is focusing more intensely on its Centers of Excellence located in the U.S., Europe, and South East Asia.
In line with its growth strategy, Testronic has welcomed several new executives, including Samantha Williams, formerly a director at Meta, as chief revenue officer; Lewis Read, an ex-senior QA executive, as VP of global partnerships; and Linda Quinn, previously a marketing director at Keywords, now joining as global head of marketing.
"This is a crucial time for us," stated CEO Sharon Baylay-Bell. "Although making decisions that impact individuals is challenging, these steps are designed to fortify our business long-term. Our financial situation is robust, allowing us to invest significantly in our Centers of Excellence in the US, Europe, and South East Asia. We are hiring in these regions and dedicated to advancing with innovative, top-tier technology."
“Our focus can now shift to excelling in our core services: QA Testing and Localization through Testronic, and exceptional 3D and VFX Art via Secret 6. The sale of Curve Games has facilitated this focus, simplifying our organizational structure."
“This stage in our company’s trajectory emphasizes leveraging our strengths and fostering innovation, positioning us to develop stronger, more player-centric and outcome-driven client relationships.”
Earlier in April, Testronic inaugurated a cutting-edge testing facility in Manila, Philippines. Located in the Mega Tower, Mandaluyong City, this facility is intended to deliver top-tier QA services supported by advanced security features to clientele worldwide.
