The venture capital firm, A16Z Speedrun, is now accepting applications for its sixth startup accelerator program.

This 12-week initiative, commencing in January, offers startups support through an investment of up to $1 million, paired with mentorship and strategic advice from industry leaders.

Prospective participants must apply by September 28, 2025. The program officially starts on January 26, 2026, concluding with a Demo Day in April.

"We are driven by the achievements of numerous A16Z Speedrun graduates as they challenge the status quo," stated A16Z principal, Josh Lu.

He continued, "Every cohort brings forth pioneering ideas and innovative approaches that transcend traditional boundaries."

Lu further noted, "As the accelerator grows, so does the potential for groundbreaking innovation."

Earlier this year, the program expanded its reach to embrace startups in sectors such as technology, entertainment, and gaming, encompassing areas like 3D tools, streaming, XR, and new forms of entertainment. More details are available.

Launched in 2023, A16Z Speedrun has supported over 150 startups, investing more than $180 million.

The accelerator's fifth round, conducted in July, selected over 60 companies from a pool of 14,000 applicants, marking its largest intake yet.
