Acquire Corp, known for its work on Way of the Samurai, and Red Dunes Games have announced a partnership to develop several new intellectual properties

Red Dunes Games, a publisher and developer from the United Arab Emirates, has revealed a new partnership with Acquire Corp. This collaboration will span several years and involves the renowned Japanese studio known for the Tenchu and Way of the Samurai series.
The firms intend to produce new original intellectual properties, merging Acquire's expertise with a comprehensive international creative approach.
During the announcement, the initial trio of projects was introduced. These include Project Tremor, which features colossal monster battles; Project Umbra, concentrating on dark fantasy hunts; and Project Shadowcar, a spy narrative.
These titles will be launched globally as premium offerings for consoles and PCs, with debut showings scheduled for major events such as the Tokyo Game Show.
Recently, Acquire developed Mario & Luigi: Brothership for the Nintendo Switch and was purchased by Kadokawa Corporation, the owner of FromSoftware, in 2024.
Red Dunes Games was introduced in September 2024 but has yet to release any games. They have several upcoming titles, including the puzzle adventure Princess of the Water Lilies and the Metroidvania title Zozo and the Lost Dreams.
Sultan Darmaki, CEO and creative director of Red Dunes Games, remarked, "Acquire is a legendary studio with a deep creative legacy, and we are honored to work with them to build the next wave of original games."
"This partnership signifies our belief that gaming's future is in global collaboration where stories transcend borders, and innovation is not confined to any single region."
Acquire echoed the 'global' emphasis in their own statement about the partnership. Takuma Endo, CEO of Acquire, stated, "As a studio that has consistently valued Japanese creativity in game development, we are excited to partner with Red Dunes Games and embark on a daring global adventure together."
"We've always believed in the power of originality. Now, with Red Dunes, we’re building something truly international."
