The indie roguelike game 9 Kings was purchased 400,000 times in a month
The publisher Hooded Horse and the studio Sad Socket are pleased with the launch of the roguelike strategy game 9 Kings, where players build a kingdom. Within a month of early access, the game has sold more than 400,000 copies.

- 100,000 copies — in two days of sales;
- 250,000 copies — in one week of sales.
The developers now aim to implement significant changes to the game. Specifically, they plan to overhaul the meta-progression soon, and by the end of the year, add a new mode. The full release of 9 Kings is tentatively scheduled for 2026, but the date may be subject to change.
According to official data, 9 Kings is already one of the best-selling games in the portfolios of both Sad Socket and Hooded Horse. Its rating on Steam remains at a "Very Positive" level: 92% of 7,200 reviews are favorable. However, daily online activity has decreased. At the beginning of the month, it peaked at 13,900 players, but currently, it averages 3,500 players.
