Bigger Games raises $25 million in a Series A funding round

Mobile gaming developer Bigger Games has secured $25 million through a Series A funding round, spearheaded by Goodwater Capital.

As highlighted by GamesBeat, the funds will be allocated to broaden their lineup of games, focusing notably on their recent project, Kitchen Masters.

The company is enhancing its team to prepare this game for an international market.

Additional contributions to the funding round were made by Arcadia Gaming Partners, as well as previous investors Index Ventures and Play Ventures.

Coddy Johnson, a former president at Activision and now a partner at Goodwater Capital, has joined the board of directors at Bigger Games.

"This investment allows us to experiment and discover ways to bring happiness to players around the world," remarked Hakan Ulvan, CEO and co-founder of Bigger Games.

"With the ideal product, team, and focus, we aim to make Kitchen Masters a game that delivers fundamental enjoyment," he added.

Akın Babayğit, founder of Arcadia Gaming Partners, praised the team, saying, "Hakan and the Bigger team epitomize what is special about the Turkish gaming industry today.

"Having been part of this journey with Hakan from day one, I have seen him grow into an outstanding leader and individual. The team has untapped potential, and I eagerly anticipate their future success."

Back in 2020, Bigger Games secured $6 million in seed funding led by Index Ventures.

That earlier investment was supported by Play Ventures, Unity founder David Helgason, and Stephane Kurgan, former COO of King.
