RAC7, the creator of Sneaky Sasquatch, has been acquired by Apple.

According to Digital Trends, this move provides the company an "opportunity to expand the game further on Apple Arcade." The game debuted as part of Apple's game subscription service, Apple Arcade, which commenced operations in September 2019 as noted by GamesIndustry.biz.

An Apple representative stated, "We have a great affection for Sneaky Sasquatch and are thrilled that the two-person RAC7 team has become part of Apple, allowing them to continue collaborating on the project."

The spokesperson emphasized the commitment to offering an excellent gaming experience on Apple Arcade, featuring numerous games by renowned developers worldwide.

In continuing to support external developers, the acquisition of RAC7 was described by Apple as an "exceptional case."

Bloomberg also reported that Apple plans to introduce a specialized gaming application on its devices later this year. This application is expected to serve as a "hub for games," offering features like centralizing achievements, leaderboards, communications, and other activities.

The announcement of this app might occur during Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference on June 9, 2025, though Apple declined to provide additional details when approached by Bloomberg.
