Mobile game creator Studio 42 has successfully gathered $3.6 million in seed financing, spearheaded by Play Ventures, along with contributions from GEM Capital and Arcadia Gaming Partners.

These funds are designated for the advancement of its initial game and prospective innovations. Established in Cyprus, Studio 42 operates with a staff of 14 individuals across four nations.

The establishment of the studio occurred earlier this year, initiated by CEO Aleksandr Bogdanov, COO Ivan Larionov, and CPO Pavel Sudakov, who prior to this, held top positions at Belka Games.

Bogdanov expressed his enthusiasm, saying they are eager to collaborate with Play Ventures, GEM Capital, and Arcadia Gaming Partners as they progress in their mission.

He noted, "Their backing enables us to concentrate on our strength – crafting simple yet captivating experiences. We hold the belief that simplicity is key, and we are prepared to introduce innovative concepts to the puzzle genre."

Henric Suuronen, a founding partner at Play Ventures, added, "We're excited to support Aleksandr, Ivan, Pavel, and the talented team at Studio 42.

Suuronen continued, "From the outset, we aligned with their aim to reinvent core puzzle mechanics through a hybrid-casual perspective, using live ops as a strategic element. Their impressive track record reinforces our confidence in supporting them."
