Motorsport Games has received a $2.5 million investment from virtual reality company Pimax

Motorsport Games, known for developing Le Mans Ultimate, has obtained a $2.5 million investment, spearheaded by the virtual reality company, Pimax.

This funding is set to help Motorsport Games advance product development, enhance its financial position, and cover "working capital and general corporate expenses."

The transaction was completed on April 15, 2025, involving the issue of 1.8 million Class A common stocks and "a pre-funded warrant to acquire up to 377,836 shares" of Class A common stock at a rate of $0.0001 per share.

Stephen Hood, CEO and president of Motorsport Games, commented, "We are pleased with the interest in further investment and, after extensive discussions with Pimax, are thrilled to finalize their investment into Motorsport Games."

He further added that both companies are eager to explore synergies, making the collaboration in a growing market more viable.

Robin Weng, founder and chairman of Pimax, stated, "Our collaboration with Motorsport Games aims to gain deeper insights and address the unique needs of our user base, enhancing their VR experiences."

Weng believes that the shift from traditional screens to immersive VR represents the future of sim racing, emphasizing that realism plays a crucial role in user experience. He elaborated that both companies are working towards accelerating this transition and pushing the limits of immersion together.

Lastly, Weng indicated that Pimax will explore partnerships in related fields to enrich user engagement, build loyalty, and grow communities focused on their interests.
