Winking Studios reveals plans to acquire Mineloader
Winking Studios, a company specializing in outsourcing and development, plans to acquire Mineloader, a studio located in Shanghai.
The acquisition deal totals £16.3 million, featuring an initial payment of £14.7 million, with the remaining amount contingent on future performance over five years.
Completion of this acquisition is anticipated in the second quarter of 2025.
Johnny Jan, the founder and CEO of Winking Studios, stated, "This is our largest acquisition yet and is crucial in strengthening our position within the global video games market."
Jan remarked that bringing in Mineloader's workforce of over 460 will enhance Winking Studios' current team of more than 800, extending their service capacity and client base.
He added that Mineloader's expertise in console games offers revenue diversification opportunities. There is potential for enhanced synergies and cross-selling, contributing to greater scalability and efficiency.
In November, Winking Studio secured $10 million through a dual listing on the London Stock Exchange, according to a report.
