Grand Games, a mobile game studio, has secured $30 million through a Series A funding round, with Balderton Capital at the forefront.

This financing round also saw contributions from existing backers Bek Ventures, Laton Ventures, along with angel investor Mert Gür.

The funds will facilitate Grand Games' expansion into international markets and support the release of a new game in 2025.

The studio plans to grow its workforce from the current 14 members to over 40 within the year.

Balderton Capital's Suranga Chandratillake remarked, "Istanbul is renowned for its exceptional gaming studios, and amid that landscape, Grand Games' founders have distinguished themselves with their aim of crafting world-class, genre-defining casual games that captivate players."

He added, "Their swift creation of an exemplary team culture and early successes with their initial games highlight their abilities and dedication."

Previously, in July, Grand Games garnered $3 million during a pre-seed funding round.

The company was established in January 2024 by Bekir Batuhan, Mustafa Fırtına, and Mehmet Çalım.
