Media: Kadokawa employees want Sony to buy the company and fire the president
Last month, it was revealed that Sony is in talks to acquire Kadokawa, a Japanese media conglomerate, one of whose subsidiary studios is FromSoftware. The publication Bunshun discovered that Kadokawa employees are hopeful for a successful outcome of the deal.

In an interview with Bunshun, a veteran Kadokawa employee admitted that he and his colleagues are dissatisfied with the company's leadership and are expecting changes. He pointed out the aloofness of top management from the rest of the staff in certain situations. According to Bunshun's source, the leadership didn't even hold a meeting when hackers infiltrated Kadokawa's network in June and stole 1.5 TB of data, which included personal employee information.
"I hope that if [Sony — ed.] takes over, the first step will be to fire Kadokawa President Takeshi Natsuno," said the Kadokawa employee.
Bunshun also reports that former Kadokawa Chairman Tsuguhiko Kadokawa, who stepped down following allegations of bribery, was surprised to learn about the discussions between Kadokawa and Sony. He is currently adopting a wait-and-see approach but is generally optimistic.
Previously, Bloomberg, citing sources, reported that Kadokawa and Sony have different views on the deal. Allegedly, Kadokawa is only agreeable to a full sale of the media conglomerate, whereas Sony would prefer to acquire only the anime and video game divisions.
