The number of copies sold of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has surpassed one million, GSC Game World announced. This milestone was reached on the second day after release, even though the shooter is available through the Game Pass subscription.

The developers added that through Game Pass, "much more" people have tried the game, but did not specify how many.
To recap, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl was released on November 20 on PC and Xbox Series. On Steam alone, at its peak, over 117,000 people were playing the shooter simultaneously, making it one of the most successful new releases of 2024 by this metric.
As of August 2021, the total sales of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series had exceeded 15 million copies.
