The Creative Skills Fund has granted Esports Wales a maximum of £125,000 to support its initiatives.

As one of the 17 chosen beneficiaries, this funding will enable the extension of Esports Wales' academy program across the entire region. Additionally, they plan to organize introductory sessions, along with networking and career development events.

In its second year, the 2022-founded Creative Skills Fund continues to back industries such as video games, film, TV, music, animation, and immersive technology.

"Wales' creative sector is vital. It not only generates employment but also contributes significantly to our culture, health, and sense of identity," commented Jack Sargeant, Wales Minister for Creative Industries.

"Our aim is for the creative field to mirror its audiences, ensure equitable job opportunities, and appeal to talents from diverse backgrounds," he added.

Earlier in the year, Esports Wales had also been awarded up to £50,000 through the Media Cymru's Development Fund initiative. Read more here.
