Ahead of its launch, Redemption Road's Kingmakers has landed a deal for a cinematic adaptation.

This impending time-travel shooter, which blends elements of tower defense and strategy, revealed today that it will transition to the big screen.

The game's publisher, tinyBuild, has announced a collaboration with Story Kitchen aimed at "narrating a distinct story and establishing the intellectual property."

The collaboration's goal is to deliver a live-action film version of the new medieval time-travel shooter. Players will be able to deploy assault rifles, humvees, and attack helicopters to medieval England, assisting Owain Glyndwr's 1401 Welsh Rebellion in expansive simulated battles.

Founded in 2022 by Dmitri M. Johnson, producer of Sonic the Hedgehog, and former APA agent Mike Goldberg, Story Kitchen focuses on transforming video games and other "non-traditional IP" into films and television series.

The studio is also involved in other projects, including a TV adaptation of Tomb Raider for Amazon with Phoebe Waller-Bridge and a film adaptation of Black Salt Games' Dredge.
