Moon Rover Games has secured $3.5 million in investment from Korean publisher NCsoft.

The funds will be directed toward the creation of Project Aldous, a cooperative shooter game set to launch on PC and consoles.

According to the announcement, this investment signifies the beginning of a "long term partnership" between the two companies.

Co-CEO Byungmoo Park mentioned that Moon Rover Games' first project will "broaden" NCsoft's portfolio in both genre diversity and geographical outreach.

He stated, "In pursuing new business ventures, we are actively scouting studios with specific genre expertise and robust development capabilities. Moon Rover Games is notable for its deep experience in the FPS genre and its innovative techniques."

Established in Stockholm, Sweden in 2023 by veterans from Far Cry and Battlefield, Moon Rover Games was previously interviewed by us at the studio's inception, discussing their quest for new methods in emergent multiplayer co-op action.
