Nexon has addressed allegations regarding similarities between The First Descendant and Destiny 2's designs.

Forbes recently published an article pointing out the resemblances in iconography and weapon designs between Nexon's free-to-play shooter and Bungie's game.

According to a statement shared on social media by Forbes contributor Paul Tassi, Nexon acknowledges the issue and pledges to "make adjustments to ensure that the imagery that may appear similar clearly reflects the unique identity of the game."

The publisher emphasized their genuine admiration for other games in the looter shooter genre, stating that Destiny 2 had been a significant source of inspiration.
