Voodoo acquired the social network BeReal for 500 million euros
The French mobile publisher Voodoo has acquired a new asset. The company's portfolio now includes the photo-sharing social network BeReal.
The deal is valued at 500 million euros. All terms are not disclosed, but it is known that BeReal's CEO, Alexis Barreyat, will soon be stepping down. He will be replaced by Aymeric Roffé, the CEO of another Voodoo-owned social network, Wizz.
Voodoo stated that the acquisition of BeReal will strengthen its position in the global market and allow for greater business diversification.
According to Voodoo, BeReal currently has over 40 million active users, with the main audience located in the United States, Japan, and France.
