The authors of Immortals of Aveum removed the statement that EA had waived its share of the game's future revenue
Yesterday, Ascendant Studios published a blog post about the upcoming release of Immortals of Aveum on Game Pass and EA Play subscriptions. Among other things, the studio wrote that it no longer has to share the game's revenue with its publisher, Electronic Arts (EA), and can keep all the money for itself. However, a day later, these words disappeared from the publication.

The studio also removed data about the game's circulation. Initially, it stated that 1.3 million people had played Immortals of Aveum, but now it says that "many" players have tried the magical shooter.
It's unclear why Ascendant Studios edited the text. This could have been a decision by the studio itself or a decision by EA, which did not want to disclose the game's metrics.
Immortals of Aveum was released under the EA Originals program. Under its terms, developers are entitled to 100% of the game's revenue if EA has recouped its expenses. It is likely that revenue from Immortals of Aveum has already exceeded the company's costs, but the exact amount remains unknown. A former employee of Ascendant Studios claimed that the game's production budget was $85 million, with a marketing and distribution budget of another $40 million.
