  • The information comes from a Weibo post dedicated to the release of Baldur’s Gate 3. It was published by the official account of the Belgian Embassy in China (spotted on Reddit).
  • The embassy celebrated Larian Studios, which was founded and is still headquartered in Ghent, Belgium, claiming that the studio’s latest game has sold 5.2 million copies on Steam (as of August 16, 2023).
  • According to Bloomberg, Baldur’s Gate 3 has sold over 2.5 million units during its Early Access period. This means the game could have sold around 2.7 million copies in less than two weeks since its global 1.0 launch on August 3.
