Jim Ryan: Sony won't share PS6 data with Activision Blizzard if Microsoft buys it

PlayStation may stop working closely with Activision Blizzard. In testimony to the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the head of Sony‘s gaming division said that it would not transfer PS6 data to the company in case of successful completion of the deal with Microsoft.

According to Jim Ryan, such measures will protect against industrial espionage by Xbox, a direct competitor to PlayStation.

Ryan’s testimony is partially hidden, but judging by the available excerpts, PlayStation previously told about one of its consoles to the Minecraft developer studio, part of Microsoft. This collaboration reinforced Sony’s suspicions about the possibility of information leaks.
