Square Enix game with built-in neural network received 90% negative reviews on Steam
Steam users were disappointed with the remake of The Portopia Serial Murder Case, a new Square Enix game that added a neural network. Within a day of its release, it received 90% negative reviews.
It was assumed that thanks to the neural network, gamers would be able to have meaningful conversations with the detective’s assistant, the main character of the game. However, in practice, everything turned out to be wrong. Judging by the comments on Steam, the neural network does not understand many requests and often responds with the same phrases like “I do not know what to say about this” and “hmm”.
So far, the game has been tested by a small number of gamers. According to SteamDB, at the time of writing the news, the peak online AI version of The Portopia Serial Murder Case is 351 people.
