Tencent became the second largest shareholder of FromSoftware — it bought 16.25% of the studio's shares

The Chinese giant acquired shares through a subsidiary of Sixjoy. Together with him, Sony invested in the authors of Elden Ring, which now owns 14.09% of the studio.

The total investment amounted to $262.6 million.

It should be noted that most of FromSoftware is still owned by the Japanese Kadokawa Corporation (69.66%) Previously, Tencent’s “daughter” bought 6.86% of its shares, and Sony — less than 2%.
