NetEase has invested several million dollars in the Polish VR studio Something Random

Due to government restrictions, Chinese companies are looking for new opportunities in Western markets. Today NetEase announced its first investment in developers from Poland.

Something Random studio received “several million dollars” from NetEase. The exact amount and terms of the transaction are unknown.

The team will spend the funds raised to create its debut game, which will be released in 2023. Earlier, the studio attracted several million more for two VR titles.

Something Random was founded last year by former developers of the SUPERHOT shooter. This is a VR-focused game in which time moves only with the player.
