Blizzard went out shopping. The studio bought the developers of Spellbreak

Proletariat Studio became part of Blizzard Entertainment. Its employees will be thrown to support World of Warcraft, whose developers cannot cope with the required amounts of content in terms of production.

At least, this is how you can understand John Hight, director of World of Warcraft, who in an interview with GamesBeat admits that players have a giant appetite. Therefore, Blizzard was faced with the task of increasing the volume of content being created.

Hiring staff in internal studios does not solve the problem. So it was decided to find an external partner. Just such was the studio Proletariat, which recently announced the closure of its own game Spellbreak.

It is unclear whether the closure of Spellbreak is the result or the reason why Proletariat is now part of Blizzard.

The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
