British indie publisher Firestoke received $2.2 million from investors

The funding round was led by the Hiro Capital fund. Together with him, Behind VC and Techstart Ventures invested in the company.

The money received by Firestoke is going to spend on expanding the game portfolio and on its own development as a whole. Earlier, she stated that she wants to try to “reset” the relationship between developers and the publisher by introducing more advanced workflows.

Firestoke was founded in 2021 and has not yet managed to release a single game. It is assumed that the release of her first title, the pixel bagel Falling Out, will take place sometime in 2022.
