CB Insights: in the first quarter, blockchain companies attracted investments of a record $9.2 billion

The volume of blockchain transactions is growing rapidly. CB Insights analysts estimate that in the first three months of 2022, companies working with this technology received 461 investments totaling $9.2 billion – a new record.

For comparison, in the first quarter of last year, 251 investments were made in the blockchain for $3.6 billion.

During the quarter, 14 new blockchain unicorns appeared, whose value reached $ 1 billion. There are currently 62 such companies in total.

The most active investors were Animoca Brands (34 deals) and Coinbase Ventures (30 deals).
