AppQuantum announced a competition for mobile game developers with a prize fund of $ 2.5 million
The publisher of mobile games AppQuantum with the support of WN Media Group has launched a game contest. The focus is on casual projects. The winners will receive up to a million dollars for marketing.
Terms of participation
To submit a project for the competition, you need to register on the WN Hub and leave a detailed application at this address games.wnhub.io/publishme / (among other things, the organizers ask you to specify the development engine and provide a gameplay video).
The requirements for participants are as follows:
- a casual game should be served;
- the game should not have a publisher;
- projects using unlicensed IP are not allowed.
There are no strict requirements for the development stage. However, at a minimum, the project should have a playable prototype. There are two requirements for already running games:
- their release was to take place no earlier than September 1, 2021;
- all rights to the project must be at the disposal of the developer.
The application for participation in the competition must be submitted no later than July 10.
Prizes
The contest has two prize funds. Each of them will be distributed among the three winners.
The first fund is $50 thousand. Developers of top projects will receive this money by transfer as a reward.
The second fund is much larger — at $2.5 million. AppQuantum undertakes to spend this amount on the marketing of mobile games for those winners who sign a publishing contract with the company.
The Jury
The winners will be determined by the jury members, including both AppQuantum specialists and experts from third—party studios. For example:
- Sergey Gimelreich, R&D Game Design Expert at Creative Mobile;
- Valentin Merzlikin, co-founder of Neskin Games;
- Evgeny Sudak, Head of Product at Delta Vision Games;
- Roman Goroshkin, Director of External Relations at MY.GAMES.
Format
The contest is held within the framework of Publish Me! Festival. According to the organizers, the contest is a preliminary part of it.
The festival itself will take place on July 21 in an online format. In the first half, representatives of the mobile gaming industry will make presentations on game development, and in the second half, AppQuantum will announce the names of the winners.
More information about the contest and the festival can be found on the official website.
