Atlas Empires invested $1.75 million in the authors of the geolocation mobile strategy

Atlas Empires raised $1.75 million to develop the geolocation game. The authors — Cerberus Interactive — are already softlocking the title in several regions.

The key investors for the project were Reddit co—founder Steve Huffman, the authors of “Solitaire” – Mobilityware, as well as TikTpk Business Development Director Blake Chandlee.

Atlas Empires is the studio’s debut game, according to VentureBeat. The project is based on a geolocation principle similar to Pokémon GO. However, its gameplay is not focused on finding and collecting creatures. Atlas Empires is a game about building bases and strategic battles. It is unclear how many AR elements there will be in it.

Founded two years ago, Cerberus Interactive has considerable ambitions. The studio hopes to “change the entire mobile games industry as a whole.” They made the main bet on their “marketing approach to game design” Atlas Empires.

This is a new way of developing mobile games, and it has advantages for both players and studios. The former receive important features for them, and the latter have reduced financial losses. Every first game requires a lot of capital. With the funds raised, we hope not only to introduce a concept that will seriously reduce risks, but also change the entire mobile games industry.
