Czech Warhorse Studios has been added to THQ Nordic’s asset pool. The publisher paid €33.2 million for the entire development team and the intellectual property of the studio.

We started as a small startup with several employees. We believe that the support of THQ Nordic and Koch Media will give us an additional impetus to create exciting games for our audience and expand the boundaries of game development.

Martin Fryvaldski

CEO of Warhorse Studios

The deal was announced on the anniversary of the release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, writes Gamesindustry.biz . During the year, the game, which Warhorse called “a project with an AAA budget and an indie soul,” sold 2 million copies on all platforms. The project has won more than 30 awards.

Let’s add that this role-playing game was published by Deep Silver, a subsidiary of Koch Media. Koch Media itself was bought by THQ Nordic in February last year for €121 million.
