FunCubator is ready to invest in HTML5 games
The online accelerator FunCubator has started collecting applications from teams involved in the development of entertainment applications. HTML5 game authors will also be able to receive investments.
Over two years, the amount of total investments in startups that will receive support will amount to $ 10 million.
Within the framework of the support institute, each startup will have to go through two stages of acceleration with exams and the implementation of KPIs.
The first stage lasts three months. During this period, the team must create an MVP (a product with enough functions to collect data and explore options for its further development). At this stage, the investment amount will be up to 1 million rubles.
The second stage lasts another three months. This time is given to organize a business around an already working product. The amount of investments at this stage can be up to 5 million rubles.
FunCubator is headed by Viktor Zakharchenko, former Executive Director of KamaGames Studio. FunCubator is a project of the FunCorp company engaged in the development and publication of entertainment applications. The most famous of them is the meme aggregator iFunny (more than 10 million installations on Google Play alone).
iFunny regularly conducts experiments with the launch of HTML5 games. One of the experiments, the game Whack–a-nuke, in which the US president and the head of North Korea “fought”, gathered 4 million players.
