Fox bought one of the former Kabam studios

The founders of Kabam managed to find a buyer of assets that Netmarble was not interested in. They will be acquired by FoxNext, the daughter of the American Fox television network.

The amount of the transaction is not called. Aftershock becomes available to FoxNext. This name was given to the Kabam business after the sale of its Vancouver division and brand to the Korean company Netmarble for $ 800 million.

Aftershock is a studio in Los Angeles and San Francisco, which previously engaged in both the development, support and marketing of Kabam products. It is headed by the former Kabam management.

As part of the deal, Aftershock President Aaron Loeb becomes president of FoxNext Games Studios.

Now Aftershock is busy creating a game based on the Avatar brand, which just belongs to Fox, as well as working on several more games that have not been officially announced.

FoxNext was launched by Fox in January 2017. She is engaged not only in video games, but also VR, AR and geolocation entertainment.
