Terraria 2D sandbox has been bought over 20 million times
The number of copies sold of the popular two-dimensional 3d game Terraria has crossed the twenty-millionth milestone. Representatives of the developer company Re-Logic told about this on the official forum of their project.
The members of Re-Logic thanked gamers for their support throughout the existence of Terraria and listed the main changes that the game has undergone since its launch in May 2011. Starting on the PC platform, Terraria received versions for macOS and Linux, was ported to the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, PS3, PS VITA, PS4, Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, iOS, Android and Windows Phone. The amount of game content in the form of NPC items, enemies, resources, and locations has increased tenfold. There is also a mode of increased difficulty for experienced players.
At the end of the message, Re-Logic announced the imminent update of Terraria to version 1.3 on mobile devices and consoles, and also hinted at the continuation of the game called Terraria: Otherworld, promising to reveal the details of this project “another time”.
Terraria is a 2D adventure game with sprite graphics and an open world, exploring which players extract resources and fight monsters. Terraria is known for its advanced crafting system, for which it is often compared to the famous Minecraft.
