Will Crytek invest $500 million in Turkey's economy?
Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said that a gaming company founded by Turks in Germany is going to invest half a billion dollars in the Turkish economy.
He announced this at the award ceremony of the 500 best export companies of the country. He did not mention the name of the company in his speech.
“There is a man from Giresun. Lives in Germany. He is one of the world leaders in the gaming industry. He will come to invest in Turkey. The investment is expected to amount to $500 million.”

Most likely, Binali was referring to Crytek. The company was founded by three brothers who came from Giresun.
Also, it may have been meant that it is not the company that invests directly, but its projected contribution to the country’s economy after the move will amount to the named amount.
Crytek has recently experienced problems with paying salaries to its employees. After this became known to the press, the company announced the dissolution of 5 of the 7 studios, including the one located in Istanbul (the latter, according to Hard Avenue, is still functioning).
