GREE expands cooperation with indie studios

The giant of the mobile games industry, GREE, has announced the conclusion of distribution agreements with four independent developer studios – Gamenauts, InfiniDy, Oceanside Interactive and SkyVu Entertainment.

Each of them is not a beginner in the mobile field. So the number of downloads of the Battle Bears game from SkyVu Entertainment exceeded 18 million. The simulator of the amusement park Happy Park (InfiniDy) has been downloaded by users 5.3 million times. MyDinosGo (Oceanside) has over 2.5 million downloads, and Ninja Fishing (Gamenauts) has more than 7 million users.

Ben Chen, who oversees the sphere of partnerships with developers at GREE, commenting on the deals with these studios, noted that each of them will receive advisory assistance and additional opportunities in promotion through the use of the original mobile platform. Also, as Chen promised, they will retain their independence and rights to their IP.

Let’s add that the other day, as part of an event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Metal Gear Solid franchise, legendary game designer Hideo Kojima announced Metal Gear Solid: Social Ops, a three-dimensional Unity–based game that will also join the GREE family.
