Don’t Scream Together

Digital Cybercherries released Don’t Scream Together on Steam on December 3rd. According to the developers, the game received a lukewarm reception. On the release day, its rating on the platform was "mostly negative" at 23%. Users complained en masse about the inability to calibrate the microphone, low sound, and other technical issues.

Nevertheless, the negative reception did not hinder Don’t Scream Together from selling well. In the first two days alone, the number of copies sold reached 100,000, and by the end of the debut week, it exceeded 200,000.

For comparison, the original Don’t Scream was purchased by 100,000 people during the first week of its early access.

Currently, Digital Cybercherries is actively fixing Don’t Scream Together. In the opinion of the studio, the open acknowledgment of the problems and the prompt release of patches contributed in part to the horror game’s respectable sales. The developers hope that over time they will fully regain the trust of their audience.

As of the writing of this news, the rating of Don’t Scream Together on Steam has risen to 57%. Whether it can improve further will be revealed with time.
