Sales of the Korean indie hit Shape of Dreams surpassed 300,000 copies in a week
A week ago, the young Korean studio Lizard Smoothie, together with publisher Neowiz, released their debut game on Steam — a mix of MOBA and roguelike called Shape of Dreams. Seven days were enough for the title to sell 300,000 copies.
Shape of Dreams
This is an excellent result for an indie project, especially considering that Shape of Dreams was developed by a very small team — Lizard Smoothie has only four people on staff.
Notably, the first 100,000 copies of Shape of Dreams were sold on the release day itself.
The game’s online presence is also impressive. According to SteamDB data, the maximum number of concurrent players in Shape of Dreams exceeded 45,700, setting a record among projects published by Neowiz. Shape of Dreams has significantly surpassed games like Bless Online (34,400 players), Lies of P (30,100 players), and Skul: The Hero Slayer (18,900 players) in terms of Steam online presence.
