The Tokyo Indie Game Summit of 2025 has reached a new milestone, drawing in 23,000 participants, marking it as the largest event to date

The Tokyo Indie Game Summit, a celebration of indie games both online and in person, has experienced a significant increase in participants during its third edition.
Highlights of the event included panel talks with renowned figures like Shuhei Yoshida and Shunji Mizutani, alongside competitive gaming, new game trailers, first looks at gameplay, and more.
Held over two days, March 8 and 9, in the district of Kichijoji, Tokyo, the event showcased over 200 selected indie games and introduced the first Tokyo Indie Games Summit Award. Attendance skyrocketed from 9,000 the previous year to over 23,000 this year.
Kazunori Sakamoto of Phoenixx, the organizing group, shared his enthusiasm, stating, “Witnessing the remarkable energy of creators and fans congregating in Kichijoji was truly motivating.”
He added, “We are deeply thankful for TIGS's expansion and are already planning to make 2026 an even grander occasion. Look out for future announcements!”
