Indie doodling builder Tiny Glade hits 500k unique players, with devs calling this milestone "bonkers"
Relaxing castle builder Tiny Glade has become a success for Pounce Light. The developers say they now have enough resources to continue supporting the game.
Pounce Light, a Swedish indie studio comprising just two devs, Anastasia Opara and Tomasz Stachowiak, shared the news about their debut game in a blog post on Steam. “More than 500k people have played the full version of Tiny Glade by now, and I believe the technical term for that is bonkers,” Opara wrote.
The game reached this milestone in just over two weeks since its launch on September 23. It is currently only available on Steam, so the aforementioned 500k unique players could be close to the number of copies sold.
Thanks to the successful launch, Pounce Light plans to support Tiny Glade with new content updates. But before that, the duo will take a break.
“We enjoy working on Tiny Glade, and keep brainstorming what’s next, just like we did a year or two ago,” Stachowiak noted. “We’ll keep tinkering — but we’re still a tiny team, and it is still a tiny game. New features will take time to design, develop and test.”
It’s been 2 weeks since Tiny Glade launched, and 500k+ people have played the game. I believe the technical term for that is *bonkers* 😄 Seeing your creations, both big and small, is pure joy – THANK YOU for the amazing reception💖

Tiny Glade is a city builder that strips away management and combat mechanics. Its core loop is about bringing a 3D diorama to life by doodling castles and just chilling. The title gained player interest long before its launch, surpassing 1 million wishlists in June. Its demo also ranked 5th in unique players during the Summer Next Fest.
According to SteamDB, Tiny Glade peaked at 10,692 concurrent players — an impressive result for a self-published project made by just two people. The game currently has an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam, with 96% of the 6.9k user reviews being positive.
Tiny Glade has also been nominated Best Self-published Indie Game at the Golden Joystick Awards 2024, alongside the likes of UFO 50, Another Crab’s Treasure, I Am Your Beast, Little Kitty, Big City, Riven, and Tactical Breach Wizards.
