Indie adventure game Let Bions Be Bygones wins dev contest at WN Belgrade'23: conference results in detail
WN Media Group has shared the data summing up its latest conference for game developers in publishers, which took place in Serbia last week. It was attended by industry professionals representing companies such as Larian Studios, Riot Games, Saber Interactive, Sperasoft, Two Desperados, Ubisoft, TapClap, and Wargaming.
282 companies visited WN Conference Belgrade’23 on December 7-8. Game developers accounted for 63% of the total, followed by service providers (37%) and publishers (17%).

The service provider group was represented by Adjust, AdQuantum, Amazon, AppMagic, Bambassadors, Clevertap, RoasUp, Playgap, Liftoff, Nativex, Unity, and Xsolla.
According to the event’s organizers, WN Conference Belgrade’23 brought together 507 people on-site. 59% of them were C-level executives.

WN Dev Contest, a competiton for developers, was held as part of the event. More than 50 game creators from Europe, Asia, and the CIS applied for it, and some projects were also presented during a special showcase.
Here are the three winners:
- Best Game Design — The Star Named EOS, a first-person puzzle game from Taiwan-based indie studio Silver Lining;
- Best Storytelling — Torn Away, a narrative side-scrolling adventure title from perelesoq;
- Best Art (and Grand Prix) — Let Bions Be Bygones, an upcoming adventure game with nonlinear story from Serbian studio Bohemian Pulp.

WN Belgrade’23 became WN Media Group’s second conference in Serbia. In February 2023, the company held the similar event in the city.
