Elena Lobova launches Indie Developer Support service
Being indie is not easy. At the same time, there are almost no structures for their support on the territory of the CIS. Elena Lobova, former CEO of iLogos, volunteered to fix the situation.
Elena announced the ACHIEVERS HUB project. Its essence is the selection and support of independent teams. The future hub can partly be called an incubator. That’s just the developers will not need to go anywhere: all help will be provided remotely.
The project participants are promised such services as:
- product evaluation by market experts;
- business consulting;
- help with marketing strategy;
- provision of legal and recruiting services;
- representation of teams to investors and publishers;
- pitching and negotiation assistance;
- assistance in the personal development of team members.
“Each team will have a plan and a reporting system, but everything will be as flexible as possible. The main thing is that the team has a desire to take advice, develop, so that there is an understanding that games are not only creativity, but also business,” she said in an interview with App2Top.ru Elena.
Now ACHIEVERS HUB is primarily looking for mobile projects. The company explains this by the fact that most mentors and publishers who have already entered the hub specialize in this segment. But the hub is ready to consider both PC and VR projects.
The incubator will take under its wing both projects that are at the stage of a playable prototype and finished products.
Elena considers one of the troubles of indie developers from the CIS to be a lack of understanding of how Western publishers and investors work and what they expect from them. Among other things, she considers it her mission to build a bridge between the first and the second. To show talented teams from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus how market leaders in the USA and Western Europe work.
Elena Lobova managed the outsourcing company iLogos. She is also a co-founder of the Get It! conference.
