Layoffs occurred at the studio behind Eve Online
Fenris Creations, formerly known as CCP Games, is also downsizing its workforce. This was first reported by its employees on social media, and later confirmed by the studio itself in a statement to the media.

The exact number of layoffs is unknown.
According to Fenris Creations, the layoffs are related to a review of the “priorities, structure, and development plans” for EVE Frontier — a spin-off of the space MMO EVE Online. The studio hopes that the personnel changes will make it easier to achieve its long-term goals for the game.
“We understand how the layoffs will affect our colleagues, and we are committed to providing necessary support to those affected,” added representatives of the studio in a statement to the Vertical Slice portal.
Fenris Creations emphasized that the layoffs only impact the EVE Frontier team and do not indicate a restructuring of the entire studio.
The layoffs at Fenris Creations occurred six months after the studio split from Pearl Abyss. Recall that in April 2026, the studio was bought out by its own management for $120 million. A few days after this, Fenris Creations sold a minority stake to Google DeepMind, receiving “millions” of dollars in return.
