It seems that almost half of the staff have left World's Edge studio

This was shared by World's Edge creative director Adam Isgreen on the ResetEra forum. He, too, lost his job.

Age of Empires IV

Layoffs at World's Edge occurred amid new restructuring at XBOX. As a result, World's Edge became part of Activision and will now be working on the Age of Empires franchise games under its control.

According to World's Edge's LinkedIn account, the studio had fewer than 50 employees before the layoffs, but the exact number of staff remains unclear.

Along with World’s Edge, other XBOX studios also lost some staff. It is known that a total of 268 employees from Microsoft's gaming division are now out of work. According to the corporation's official statement, the recent cuts affected at least Halo Studios and the XBOX management team. Media also report layoffs at The Coalition and Treyarch.
