Obsidian Entertainment accused of skimping on salaries
Obsidian Entertainment has faced a lawsuit in the United States. The company was sued by former employees who claim it violated California labor laws.
Avowed
Officially, the lawsuit against Obsidian Entertainment was filed back in October 2025, but the media only recently took notice of it.
According to the plaintiffs, Obsidian Entertainment engaged in unlawful practices regarding hourly employees. Specifically, it allegedly failed to pay for all the hours the employees actually worked, resulting in them receiving less than the agreed-upon minimum threshold. Overtime payments were also not forthcoming.
Furthermore, the plaintiffs claim the company did not reimburse work-related expenses for these employees and did not provide full lunch breaks. When they decided to resign, Obsidian Entertainment did not pay all the due compensations.
Now, the former employees of Obsidian Entertainment are seeking for the court to recover all the unpaid amounts with interest, cover legal fees, and impose a penalty on the company.
Obsidian Entertainment firmly denies the allegations. The company submitted a statement to the court, criticizing every point of the lawsuit and stating that the former employees had agreed to the working conditions offered.
