Another gaming company has been hit by a wave of layoffs. It was revealed that around 20 people have left 11 bit studios over the past few days.
The Alters: Last Variable
The Polish portal gram.pl first drew attention to the layoffs at 11 bit studios after noticing posts from affected employees on LinkedIn. The company later confirmed the layoffs in response to journalists' inquiries. 11 bit studios explained the redundancies as "team adaptations" to the current stages of game development.
“This is standard practice for organizations following a project model. It is due to natural changes that occur throughout the project lifecycle,” a representative of 11 bit studios added in a comment to gram.pl.
According to gram.pl, the layoffs affected almost all company departments, including the team working on the upcoming expansion for The Alters. However, it is expected that no games will be impacted by these changes.
It should be noted that, in the context of 11 bit studios, 20 people represent a relatively small number. Previously, the company reported that as of December 31, 2025, it employed 265 people.
