A dedicated portal for recruiters has been created, featuring the list of individuals affected by the recent layoffs at Epic

An online platform has been established to assist employees impacted by Epic's recent job cuts. Originally a public Google Sheet, the data has now been turned into a searchable database hosted on Replit, aimed at connecting recruiters with affected staff. The database currently features 320 individuals.

Initially encompassing nearly 500 entries on a Google Docs spreadsheet, the list is now a dedicated website developed using Replit, an AI-driven web development service. Updates to the original document have introduced additional developers seeking employment as the gaming sector faces ongoing downsizing and studio shutdowns.

In related news, Epic CEO Tim Sweeney has intervened following concerns that one of the layoffs resulted in a loss of crucial health insurance for a former employee battling terminal brain cancer. Mike Prinke's situation, shared by his wife Jenni, gained significant attention from the Fortnite community. In response, Sweeney assured via a Sunday post on X that "Epic is in contact with the family and will solve the insurance for them," emphasizing the confidentiality concerning medical details and clarifying that these were not considered in the layoff decision. Sweeney expressed remorse for not addressing this distressing issue sooner.
