Full Circle, the developer behind the popular game Skate and part of Electronic Arts' network, is restructuring its team, which has led to a number of layoffs, the details of which remain undisclosed. In a recent blog post, Full Circle explained that this move aims to better support the long-term goals of Skate and refocus on key aspects valued by players.

The company stated, "The teammates affected are talented colleagues and friends who helped build the foundation of Skate," emphasizing their appreciation of the departing staff's contributions. The post further assured, "Our work on Skate continues... our commitment to Skate, and to the millions of players who believe in it, remains strong."

Full Circle, which lists approximately 200 employees on its LinkedIn profile, is yet to specify the number of job roles affected by this decision. GamesIndustry.biz has sought to contact EA for greater clarity on this matter. Among those impacted is senior environment and material artist, Tyler De Block, who shared his experience on LinkedIn, noting his deep connection to skateboarding and the welcoming nature of the Full Circle team.

Launched in early access last September, Skate 4 quickly reached over 15 million players by the following month. Separate from this, Electronic Arts reduced its workforce by 200 roles in April 2025 as part of a strategy to foster "future growth," following an earlier layoff at Respawn Entertainment impacting 100 employees. EA has justified these reductions as part of its strategic realignment to allocate resources effectively.
