Media: New layoffs at Eidos-Montréal, most of its projects have been canceled
Studio Eidos-Montréal is going through tough times, reports Insider Gaming.

As noted by Insider Gaming, since late November, at least a dozen employees of Eidos-Montréal have posted on LinkedIn about their layoffs. It's likely that more people were actually laid off, but the exact number is unknown.
Additionally, sources from Insider Gaming have discovered that the studio has canceled work on most of its projects. Currently, it is reportedly working on only three games: Grounded 2 (in collaboration with Obsidian Entertainment), the new Fable (in collaboration with Playground Games), and its own unannounced game, which has been in development for six years. However, sources claim that the latter has "no chance of recouping costs."
According to the publication, Eidos-Montréal is preparing for another round of layoffs right after the completion of these games.
Neither Eidos-Montréal nor its parent company Embracer Group have commented on the Insider Gaming's information. The last time layoffs at the studio were officially reported was in March 2025, when 75 employees left Eidos-Montréal.
