According to dev.by's sources, the layoffs at Vizor Games began at the end of August. Initially, they affected teams working on only two projects, but later employees involved in another project, which had been closed a few months prior, were also impacted. It was promised that these employees would be redistributed to other teams and shielded from layoffs, but ultimately not everyone was accommodated, making the situation an even more unpleasant surprise for them.

It is claimed that during the layoffs, Vizor Games' management did not consider either the employees' effectiveness or their tenure. Employees were often let go in a single day to avoid panic within the studio, but this strategy failed—as rumors of layoffs spread, some employees decided to leave voluntarily.

The reason for the layoffs was allegedly Vizor Games' desire to restructure processes by incorporating artificial intelligence.

Sergey Bruy, co-founder and managing director of Vizor Games, confirmed the layoffs in a statement to dev.by. He did not disclose the exact number of affected employees but indicated that the scale of the layoffs was small. According to him, a total of more than 700 people are currently employed by Vizor Games.
